Dance Classes at the Bragg Creek Community Centre
We are so grateful to offer dance classes for the Bragg Creek Communities in the convenience of their own neighbourhood. Our intention for coming out to Bragg Creek is to provide something a little closer to home for those families, to give the students exposure to a variety of styles, and it’s another great opportunity to connect with community! These introductory classes are all focused on building community, confidence, having FUN, and keeping kids active and engaged!

Fusion
These classes typically combine ballet, jazz, lyrical, musical theatre, and hip hop (and acro with our younger classes)! It allows dancers to explore various styles in the same class! The class focuses on being fast paced, high energy, and exposure to lots of material! We are excited to create an opportunity for dancers to build a foundation, have a ton of fun, and gain confidence through creativity and exploring their own styles!
Please note, our main focus in Bragg Creek is our classes in Bragg Creek is on building community, confidence, and keeping kids active and engaged! While we introduce a foundation to dance, these classes are more recreational, more categorized by age (rather than level) and do not include competitive options. If looking for continued advancement in difficulty or for more serious training, please speak to a member of our team about the programs we have available at our studio in Springbank.
Acro
A combination of dance technique and acrobatic elements. Acro focuses on promoting flexibility, tumbling, strength, balance, and contortion. Each lesson involves training in gymnastic-style elements but is also put together with style and choreography.
Acro elements include (but are not limited to): bridges, head/hand/elbow stands, cartwheels, walkovers, etc.! Dancers will work with variation within their own abilities to ensure safe progressions and a focus on building strength with the foundations.
PLEASE NOTE: in order to ensure we can make the most of the 30min Acro class, these students must also be registered in the foregoing "Fusion" class. This way we can ensure they are properly warmed up during the first class, in order to 'jump right in' for the Acro class!
